30th Annual Peace Market/Mercado de Paz – 2019
Bringing people together in the tradition of open-air markets in indigenous communities around the world, the International Peace Market (Mercado de Paz) offers an alternative to holiday retail shopping by giving community direct access to global and local artisans selling one-of-a-kind handmade goods.
As one of the oldest annual open-air, arts and craft international markets, the Mercado de Paz offers a community-centered alternative shopping destination during the busiest corporate shopping days of the year. Over 100 international and local artists/artisans will offer visitors a variety of artful, beautifully handmade items including rugs, pottery, textiles, hand-embroidered clothing, paintings, sculptures y más, filling the Esperanza’s two-story building, the back patio and spilling out into the street.
Peace Market 2019 will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, November 29th and Saturday, November 30th, 2019, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 1st at the Esperanza, 922 San Pedro Ave.
