Violación de un Sueño/Rape on the Night Shift – Film Screening

The Esperanza Peace and Justice Center, Rape Crisis Center, Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission present a documentary + plática on A FRONTLINE (PBS) film on an investigation into the sexual abuse of immigrant women who work in the janitorial industry. The film contains triggering and/or sensitive material related to sexual violence, sexual assault, and abuse.

Before the film begins, at 5PM, there will be resource tables where people can learn about what help is out there and what organizations they can reach out to. At 6PM the film will begin, followed by a plática at 7PM which will include legal experts as well as testimonios from different women.

A counselor will be on standby for anyone to speak to, during or after the film. Translation will be available. Child care will be available.
