The 5th Annual Femme Frontera Filmmaker Showcase features seven short film selections by filmmakers Morningstar Angeline, Ebony Bailey, Jackie Barragan, Karolina Esqueda, Celina Galacia, Xochitl Rodriguez, and Amada Torruella. The combined length is 1 hour and 22 minutes.

Check out the film descriptions and trailers here: www.femmefronteracommunity.org

Founded in 2016, the Femme Frontera Filmmaker Showcase began as a celebration of films made by women filmmakers from the U.S.-Mexico border region. Since then, the showcase has expanded to include powerful short films from around the world, whose stories challenge perceptions about women, border communities, immigrants, people of color, the LBGTQ community, and other underrepresented communities.

This event is presented by Esperanza and the San Antonio Central Library’s Latino Collection and Resource Center.
