We are bursting with pride to share some incredible news with you. The
Alazán-Apache Courts has been recognized as an Endangered Latinx
Landmarks site!
This national program, led by Latinos in Heritage Conservation (LHC),
identifies and prioritizes culturally significant Latinx heritage sites across
the United States that are under immediate threat. Our inclusion is a
powerful recognition of the historical importance of “Los Courts” and a critical
step in our fight to preserve it.
This nomination provides a national platform to amplify our story, highlight
the specific challenges we face, and rally a broader coalition of support. It
is a vital tool in our preservation toolkit and validates what we’ve known all
along: this place matters.
Our work is just getting started. This recognition opens new doors for
advocacy, awareness, and potential resources. We will keep you updated
every step of the way.
Stay tuned for specific calls to action as we develop our next steps.
We are so grateful for your continued support. This achievement belongs to
everyone who has shared a story and believed in our mission.
