Día de los Muertos Celebration
Tuesday, November 1, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm
| FreeEvent Navigation
Join us in celebrating our dearly departed familia, friends, and ancestors in our annual Día de los Muertos celebration on November 1 from 4PM-10PM at the Rinconcito de Esperanza (816 S. Colorado, San Antonio, TX). There will be displays of community ofrendas/altars, live music, face painting for children, a procession through the neighborhood, and more! The evening will highlight readings of literary ofrendas to remember our dead, as well as calavera poems that poke fun at the living and their untimely encounters with La Muerte. Everyone is welcome to enjoy hot chocolate, tamales, and the traditional pan de muerto.
The event is free, but donations are appreciated. Join us in conserving our traditions and celebrating our cultura in el Westside de San Antonio!
If you’re on Facebook, visit our event page and share the event and invite your friends and family! You can also find us on Instagram and share our photos to invite people!
