Azul, born in Mexico City, is a dedicated singer and musician who honors and preserves the rich musical heritage of Latin America. Raised in a family immersed in traditional Mexican songs, she draws inspiration from her roots. For over 17 years, Azul has captivated audiences, from intimate gatherings to large festivals, weaving the stories and rhythms of her ancestors into her performances. As the Artist-in-Residence at the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center in San Antonio, she has produced over 100 multimedia shows in the Noche Azul de Esperanza series.
Joseph Palmer is an award-winning guitarist known for his dynamic performances and as a Grammy-nominated member of the Texas Guitar Quartet. He shares his passion for music through Austin Classical Guitar, giving interactive concerts in diverse communities. He also co-created a groundbreaking guitar resource for visually impaired students and teachers at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Event Parking is available at San Antonio College Lot #28 on the corner of Evergreen St. and Maverick St. The Esperanza entrance is on Evergreen St.
There is additional parking for persons with physical disabilities at the Planned Parenthood Parking Lot next to the Esperanza off of San Pedro Avenue. Permits are available inside at the sign-in table.
