In the year 2002, residents of San Antonio demonstrated their commitment to protecting the Edwards Aquifer and became involved in decisions that affected the direction of our city. Thousands of residents united to oppose Lumbermen’s PGA Village Project. This development would accelerate our city’s growth to the North and place our water supply in jeopardy through the construction of the Professional Golf Association Village over the environmentally sensitive Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone.
