Through cooperative efforts\, the women create an environment where each woman is a teacher and student by way of their creativity and cultural experiences. Each of their beautifully handcrafted creations is unique and makes a wonderful gift! \nYou can visit the MujerArtes Studio @\n816 S. Colorado St. San Antonio TX.\nMonday through Friday from 9am-5pm. \nAlso open Saturday\, February 11th\, from 9am-5pm.\nClosed Sunday\, February 12. \nPlease make sure to wear your masks when visiting! SUMMARY:Noche Azul Concert: Divino Amor
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our monthly Noche Azul concert on Saturday\, February 11\, at 8 PM\, and Sunday\, February 12\, at 3 PM. \nMusicians accompanying Azul: Aaron Prado\, George Prado\, Dan Carillo and Joe Guerra. \n✨ Doors open around 7:30pm on Saturday and 2:30pm on Sunday. Admission is $7 más o menos at the door\, but any donations are appreciated. ✨\n🎟 Admission ONLY sold during the day of the concert starting at 6:30pm Saturday and 1:30 pm Sunday 🎟.\nSeating is first-come first-served. Tickets are numbered and folks are let up in order of ticket purchase. \nConcessions will be available for purchase.\nStairs and elevator available for use to get to the 2nd floor where the concert takes place. \nAzul Barrientos is a musician dedicated to observing and conserving the cultural influences and interconnections between Latin America\, Africa\, Europe\, and Mexico. Born in Mexico City\, Azul was introduced to Latin America’s traditional and folkloric songs at an early age. This legacy drives her passion for reviving lost cultural traditions and sharing each song’s unique history. Azul moved to San Antonio as a young woman\, developing a reputation as a bridge-builder between Mexicana and Chicana cultures. She rejoices in her Latina roots\, giving new life to the rhythms and stories of previous generations. \nNoche Azul de Esperanza Monthly Concerts feature unique musical selections\, cultural and historical research\, multimedia projection\, and diverse guest musicians. The sounds and genres of Noche Azul have included boleros\, rancheras\, tangos\, folk\, jazz\, Afro-Latino\, and much more. \nFor more information on the concert\, please call the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center at 210-228-0201.

DESCRIPTION:The Esperanza & the Corazones de Esperanza invite the community to our monthly to share stories and memories about living in San Antonio’s Westside. \nThis is also a chance to sign-up for an oral history appointment to share your stories with us and get your photos scanned and added to our archive! \n=== \nAs part of the En Aquellos Tiempos project\, these monthly gatherings serve to recover and collect the beautiful and diverse stories from people who live\, have lived\, or have experienced life in one of San Antonio’s most historic Mexican-American/Chican@ communities\, the Westside. \nDuring these events\, different topics and themes are discussed from historic theaters to traditional medicine that existed in the Westside of San Antonio. Young and old are invited to share and listen to the memories in an effort to create bridges. \nInformation on how individuals can contribute to the growing Fotohistorias collection will also be provided.
