DESCRIPTION:Ways to view the concert \n\nAzul’s FaceBook or Esperanza’s FaceBook page. \nOr Azul’s YouTube or Esperanza’s YouTube page. \n\n\nJoin us for our monthly Noche Azul concert with Azul Barrientos\, which will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube on Sunday\, July 19\, 2020 at 3PM CST. This will be the fifth virtual Noche Azul concert\, which allows viewers to enjoy the event from the comfort of their own homes. For this month’s concert\, Azul has invited Mario from Mexico to present a cooking demonstration as part of the live performance. This programming has been made possible through the generous donations from Buena Gente. \nA Message from Azul: \nThe creation of and appreciation for art is instinctual is indispensable for a joyful life and is what makes us human. Live music\, as we knew it has changed. And nothing really can replace it. But we do have some tools that allow us to connect to our community and share our work. Flowing with the spirit of change\, I decided to have a new version of Noche Azul during this pandemic that will be different from any other Noche Azul I’ve ever done. \nI think that one of the things we all have a new appreciation for is food. We all love it; we all appreciate it. Mexican food is as diverse as its music\, from Yucantan’s Cochinita Pibil and Sopa de Lima to Baja California’s Aguachiles. The ingredients\, the traditions\, the people\, the recipes\, and the MUSIC are so different; yet all part of the same tapestry. So this new chapter of the life of Noche Azul is going to be called Noche Azul Sabor de México. We will have guests from every region\, from every state\, sharing their kitchen and a dish with us. It won’t be a tutorial; we can go to YouTube for that. This is about the moment of a cook or chef’s creation and inspiration. \nThe first episode is dedicated to the maravilloso state of Oaxaca. During my last trip to Oaxaca\, I enjoyed meeting Mario; they have a profound love and knowledge for the culture and food. I think that you will really enjoy what Mario is going to share with us. I will be singing traditional songs from Oaxaca and also songs that were written by composers from Oaxaca.  \nThis new format of Noche Azul will be live\, and won’t stay in our feed; there won’t be recordings.
