DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate Las Posadas with MujerArtes and Los Corazones de Esperanza!  \nWhile the Posada is going on throughout the Rinconcito de Esperanza\, MujerArtes will be open for people to browse and do some holiday shopping!  \nCome find the perfect gifts for your loved ones — from unique mugs and plates to clay earrings\, incense holders\, and more! \nAbout MujerArtes\nThe Cooperativa MujerArtes\, located on the Westside\, is a 23 year-old project sponsored by the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center. It has been teaching low income Latinas the art of working and creating with clay. A “lost” art in the United States of America\, clay work is very much tied to everyday life as well as the universal circle of life. MujerArtes incorporates the cultura of the women in art in order to preserve and tell their stories and historia.

DESCRIPTION:Join Los Corazones de Esperanza on Saturday\, December 8 at 1pm for our Second Saturday oral history Convivio at the Rinconcito de Esperanza\, 816 S. Colorado. \nThese convivios are a time for gente del Westside of San Antonio to share memories of the area. This month the theme is the novena Las Posadas. We will be having a choir of students from JT Brackenridge Elementary perform some songs in Spanish and Nahuatl. They have been practicing with Adriana Netro of Mujer Artes Cooperativa de Esperanza Peace & Justice Center.  \nWe will have food\, a piñata\, and will also perform a community posada! Join us for stories\, songs\, snacks\, y convivio!
