SUMMARY:Voz de la Paloma Registration
DESCRIPTION:The Esperanza and the Lopez family are coming together for the fourth year in a row to honor Beatriz Llamas\, la Paloma del Norte\, with the vocal competition Voz de la Paloma. \nBeatriz Llamas\, known as “La Paloma del Norte\,” was a world-renowned ranchera singer highly regarded for her contribution to Tejano music. She was the first Tejana to sing at Madison Square Garden in New York City and was inducted into the Tejano Music Hall of Fame in 1995. Later in life\, Beatriz came out of retirement to join the beloved musical quartet Las Tesoros de San Antonio\, a group formed by the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center. \nLocation to be determined\nSaturday\, August 15\, 2026 from 5 to 8 pm\nThe competition is open to girls and women ages 10 & up. \nThe competition categories are:\n•   Middle School\n•   High School\n•   College/Adult Amateur\n•   College/Adult Professional \n1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place will be selected in each category by judges and will receive prizes. \nClick >>here<< to register online. \nYou must register by Monday\, August 3 to participate!
