SUMMARY:U.S. Hands Off Cuba Solidarity Gathering Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Solidarity Gathering with a U.S. Hands Off Cuba Committee Delegation \nEsperanza along with Oppressed Revolutionaries for Worker Power\, Vets About Face\, Southwest Workers Union\, and individuals in solidarity with Cuba are hosting a fundraiser/gathering with a delegation from U.S. Hands Off Cuba Committee. The delegation is making its way from L.A. through San Antonio to Cuba to drop off much needed PainKillers. \nJoin us in welcoming them with a solidarity gathering where we get to know each other\, raise some funds for their important initiative\, learn more about Cuba’s dire situation imposed by the US government’s genocidal blockade and the bogus relisting of the island on the State Sponsorship of Terrorism List\, and build a Cuba solidarity bloc here in town. \nThe LA U.S. Hands Off Cuba Committee – working with ELAM graduates in Los Angeles\, local physicians\, Not Just Tourists\, and Global Health Partners – have launched a one-month campaign to collect pediatric and general ER medical supplies in Southern California\, truck them to New Orleans\, and ship them to Cuba.\nThis is the first of more than 100\,000 painkillers being sent as part of the emergency campaign by LA Hands-Off Cuba committee and partners.
