DESCRIPTION:Join us for the screening of the documentary\, Sex Work: It’s Just a Job \nSaturday\, August 23 @ 7PM\nEsperanza Peace & Justice Center \nSex Work: It’s Just a Job\, a 56-minute documentary\, is about the struggle to decriminalize sex work through an ensemble of people who work or have worked in the sex trades. The film critiques the misinformation that wrongly conflates consensual sex work with sex trafficking and criminal activities in straightforward and refreshingly accessible ways. It is an uplifting story of honesty\, solidarity\, strong alliances\, and human warmth. At the heart of the film are deep questions about policing and human rights in America. \nFollowing the film there will be a conversation with community representatives\, former and current sex workers\, and the makers of the film. \nThis event is a collaboration with ACT 4 SA and The Pride Center SA. \nThis event is free and open to the public.
