DESCRIPTION:Join the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center for the opening of a new exhibit honoring Gloria E. Anzaldúa and Laura Aguilar. We’re kicking off this exhibit with the Noche de Cultura on Friday\, May 18 starting at 6pm! \nExhibit will be up until June 11\, 2018. Exhibit hours: Monday-Friday\, 10am-7pm. Please call us at 210.228.0201 to inquire about weekend hours. \nWe are hosting this night and this exhibit as a celebration of the upcoming El Mundo Zurdo Conference. Event is free and open to the public\, donations accepted. \n—– \nEvery 18 months\, the Society for the Study of Gloria Anzaldúa hosts a conference that provides a place for scholars\, students\, and community to come together with the intention of engaging in the continued study of intellectual and spiritual work of Chicana feminist Gloria Evangelina Anzaldúa.
