SUMMARY:Give Out Day 2025!
DESCRIPTION:Give OUT Day is a 24-hour period on Thursday\, June 5\, 2025 when people come together to support LBGTQ+ organizations. It is the only national LGBTQ+ giving event in the U.S. This effort began in 2013 giving non-profits such as the Esperanza Peace & Justice Center the opportunity to raise funds for LGBTQ+ programming. Early giving online for Give OUT Day commences on Wednesday night\, May 21st at 11pm with a campaign that will continue through Monday night\, June 30th at 11pm. Give OUT is a way to celebrate and contribute during Pride Month. \nDonate directly by going to: bit.ly/supportesperanza. \nThe visionaries who in 1987 dreamed of the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center included LGBTQ+ issues especially in communities of color. Nonetheless\, current political hegemony in Washington and Austin are conspiring to deny civil liberties to many in this country. Since January 20th there have been efforts to destroy the progress that has been made on behalf of LGBTQ+ souls. Myopic politicians fail to recognize that LGBTQ+ rights are actually supported by a majority of their constituents. Your donations are especially requested since only $1 for every $500 donated to non-profits in the U.S. are given for LGBTQ+ causes (Equity Lab 2024 index). \nSave the date and remember that Give OUT Day is June 5th!
