DESCRIPTION:Join us for a taller/workshop with Maestra Rita\, on November 5\, 2022\, from 12PM-3PM. \nThis taller includes platíca\, limpías\, blessings\, circulos\, y remedios with the maestra to learn about Curanderismo and healing. Make sure to bring with you herbs and flowers for the altar. And please get here 15 minutes before start time. \nMaestra Rita – has been a traditional healer for over 30 years and is celebrated for her expertise in Temazcal\, medicinal plants\, massage\, nutrition\, and counseling. \nShe believes\, “Curanderismo is not magic\, I cannot heal you\, but I will teach you to heal yourself.” Rita is well-known as a teacher of Rizaterapia (Laugh Therapy) and Temazcal. She is also a professor at Centro de Desarollo Hacia La Comunidad\, at the University of Mexico\, Morelos. Her goal is to implant a seed of knowledge in as many people who cross her path to help preserve the practice of traditional medicine. \nMaestra Rita will be visiting San Antonio and Austin\, from Mexico City. \nEvents organized by Erika A.
