DESCRIPTION:Join us for a community block party! \nIn collaboration with the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center\, we will be showcasing over 40 photos from our Corner of Cherry and Lamar Photo Contest and revealing the grand prize winner. As we continue to advocate for the beautiful view of the Hays Street Bridge\, we face the threat of a 5 story luxury apartment complex not only blocking this view\, but entirely privatizing this space. If developers build “The Bridge Apartments” we will lose one of the most iconic views in San Antonio\, and we refuse to allow that. Join us in celebrating our community and this public space with food\, local vendors\, spoken word\, music y mas! \nHelp us celebrate the beauty of the Hays Street Bridge with art\, music\, y más! \nLive performances by Alyson Alonzo\, Lonely Horse\, Son Queers\, Natasha Hernandez\, Sulema Mendoza\, and Agosto Cuellar. \nFood from La Botánica\, Sunshine Bakery\, Monarch Empanadas\, Mama Tierra\, y más! \nCome out and catch these folks tabling/vending for the cause: \n\nSt. Sucia\nSan Anto Zine Fest\nEchale Books\nSoilnature\nMOVE Texas\nEsperanza Peace & Justice Center\nSouthwest Workers Union\nMartinez Street Women’s Center\nElla Austin Community Center\nPush Rods Car Club\nROLL Models SATX y más!
