 Join us for a workshop with Marietta Bernstorff
of the MAMAZ collective of Oaxaca, Mexico,
discussing the history of maiz and quilting in solidarity with others concerned about Mexico's native maiz seeds.
 
MAMAZ QuiltParticipants will create one or more squares
of a collaborative quilt and cut, sew and
embroider their personal interpretation of the
corn issue, expressing their concern not only
for their family and community, but also for
the entire planet and all of us who inhabit it.

 
  
The outcome will become part of the exhibition
in a quilt format or artist cloth book.

HELPFUL SUPPLIES TO BRING*:
Lots of cloth
cotton or old jeans material, left over cloth is best, in a variety of colors. (Cotton is best for patchwork cutting and quiltmaking)
